How to download (for downloaders)?
You can download the torrent file attached in thread and open it with your torrent client. Usually, this is enough and nothing else is required. For specific instructions, read our tutorial
How do i upload a torrent?
We currently have two tutorials for uploading a torrent. One using UTorrent and the other using BitTornado. For more check Tutorials: Torrents
TroubleShooting
Rejected by tracker: Unregistered Torrent
This means that the torrent has been deleted from the tracker.
Important: Always check the status of torrent before downloading. Torrent status is shown below the attachment in the thread itself.
Status:
Torrent registered: Torrent is registered with the tracker and is working fine.
Torrent deleted: Torrent is deleted from tracker and will not work.
Firewall test:
If you are not sure that whether you are behind the firewall or not, complete this simple test to find out your connectivity status. Just download the torrent file (connection-checker.torrent) and open it with your bittorrent client as explained above.
NOTE: This is a test torrent and will always show an error message. Just compare the message shown with the messages listed below to know your status.
Torrent : connection-checker.torrent
Message: Client sent IP address *BLAH*. *BLEH* is unacceptible
Status: You are not connected. Your "local IP" is set to a private IP address. Private IP addresses are blocked out on the Internet, and so will never work.
Message: NAT check failed. Client IP address override is correct though.
Status: You may or may not get good speed. Script agreed with your choice of "local IP" field, but you're still firewalled.
Message: Proxy detected, but NAT check OK and your IP override is correct.
Status: You will get good speed. Script agreed with your choice of "local IP" field, and you're not firewalled.
Message: NAT check failed (with transparent proxy). Check for port forwarding.
Status: You may or may not get good speed. A transparent proxy was detected and compensated for, but you're firewalled. Or possibly your transparent proxy is not reporting your real address correctly (I hope not).
Message: Transparent proxy detected, but I can still connect to you.
Status: You will get good speed. A transparent proxy was detected and compensated for, and you're not firewalled. Some PHP trackers may still cause you to appear firewalled if they don't check for transparent proxies.
Message: NAT check failed to overriden IP address. Check for firewalls or port forwarding.
Status: You will not get good speed. Your IP override field was not agreed with (though not necessarily wrong) and it seemed to be firewalled. If you believe you are not firewalled, double-check your Local IP setting.
Message: Accepted IP override with perfect score. Not all trackers will accept it though.
Status: You will get good speed. Although the script disagreed with your choice of Local IP, it worked anyways. But you may not be able to use it with trackers that don't accept that field.
Message: NAT check failed. Check for firewalls or port forwarding.
Status: You will not get good speed. No transparent proxy was detected, but you seem to be firewalled.
Message: I can connect to you. Perfect score.
Status: You will get the best speed

What exactally is Torrent Share Ratio?
Ratio basically determines how much you are sharing with others. Torrent is an anti leeching protocol and requires everyone to share what they are downloading with other peers connected.
It is simple calculated by the formula Ratio = Uploaded/ Downloaded So the more your upload, higher is your ratio. ie. Suppose you have downloaded 100 mb. Now even if you upload 100mb, then your ratio is 100/100 = 1. If you upload 75mb then your ratio is 75/100 = 0.75
How can I see my ratio?
- Your ratio is displayed in every post of yours on the right hand side with the acronym "R" along with "U" and "D"
- You can see your ratio along with how many MBs you have uploaded and downloaded in your profile page.
- You can see your ratio in members list which also has the provision to see where your rank in ratio compared to other members.
What is U,D,R in my posts??
U: Uploaded -> Shows the total of what you have uploaded so far or shared so far with others on eXBii.
D: Downloaded -> Shows what you have downloaded so far or leeched so far from others on eXBii
R: Ratio -> It shows the Torrent Share Ratio ( Maintain it above 0.75)
What ratio should I maintain?
The higher the ratio the better it is but ratio below 0.75 is not acceptable on this board.
How can I increase my ratio?
You can increase your ratio by seeding/reseeding or by releasing new videos in torrents.
- Seeding: Do not click "Finished" after the video your are downloading has completed downloading. Let the client run like for more time without closing it.
The more you will let your client run after completing the download, the more your ratio will increase.
Your client simultaneously shows the ratio for the particular torrent your are downloadin. Do not close the client untill it crosses 0.75 for every torrent your download.
- Reseeding: If you have downloaded a video from torrents earlier. You can reseed it by again downloadin the same torrent file from the thread and opening it with your bittorrent client. Note: When the torrent client asks for the directory where to save the video, browse to the already downloaded video and click ok. It will start reseeding on its own.
- Release a new torrent: If you have a video to share with others and its not released on eXBii, you can make a new torrent of it and post it in a new thread and start seeding. Note: Read this for more details.
Why should I maintain high ratio?
There are lots of advantage of high ratio.
- Moral Reason: Torrent is a sharing network which can live only if people share with others. As you have downloaded from others, its your moral duty to let others also download the same from you. If every1 just keeps on downloading without sharing, torrents will slowly die its own death.
I know after reading 1'st point you must have said "What bullshit!!! I dont care" :D .. so here are some practical reasons for you which will change your mind:D
- No support/requests entertained for low ratio: No requests / help / support will be given to the users having ratio less than 0.75. The better your ratio, the better will be the response from our side and other members.
