What kind of files and file formats are allowed?
Do not upload any copyrighted material on FilesCheap. Child pornography is not only disallowed, but abhorred here. Bestiality is also not allowed. Do not upload any files which may be against the law in any manner. In general, follow the same rules which are followed at eXBii. We usually do not delete any files. Currently we have sufficient disk space for the near future. However, any file may be deleted if it is deemed against the rules or spirit of the site. The admin team's decision in this regard is final.
As for the file formats concerned, we have no reservations.
Please note: It is not possible for the admin team to download all files and verify them for compliance. If you notice any file which may be objectionable, please alert us by using the "Report Link" option.
Where do I see the link of my uploaded file?
You will see it in the "Uploaded Just Now" section in Home Page once your upload is completed.
Is there a limit on the number of times my file can be downloaded?
No! Unlimited Downloads.
What is the maximum file size allowed?
The single file size limit is 2 GB.
I uploaded files to FC, but no one is downloading. Why ?
You can check if someone has already uploaded the same before you by using the Search feature. Also members are wary to upload files which do not include caps/screen shots of what they are about to download.
How do I popularize my file?
We strongly advice you to post some caps/screenshots of your file in FC along with the upload . Also, You are welcome to start a thread in pics and videos section on eXBii on this regard. Else, you can post the links in any of the similar forums or websites.
Why should I post caps of my video file?
We strongly advice you to post some caps/screenshots of your file before uploading it. Our experience shows that larger files are only/frequently downloaded if they had any caps/screenshots with them. The same is applicable for smaller files as well. Apart from that, this helps us better to track for compliance of any file with our rules and regulations.
Can I edit/delete my uploaded files?
Yes, you can edit files uploaded by you, but for deletion please send a message here.
How long are my files hosted by filescheap?
No limit. Nevertheless we delete files smaller than 1000 bytes and files which do not comply with our rules and regulations. We may also delete files which do not have caps/screenshots.
We obviously do not have unlimited diskspace, and therefore cannot make promises that your uploads will never be deleted. But we do have enough diskspace for the foreseeable future.
